-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 All, Ok. So I've successfully compiled a kernel without any errors into .rpm format. When I install the kernel I have no errors. However, when I type mkinitrd I get the following: Cannot determine dependencies of module adpahci. Is modules.dep up to date? I ensured that the module was in the right place by going to /lib/modules/$kernelver/kernel/drivers/scsi. So seeing that I run depmod to update the dependencies database which as I understand should update modules.dep. When I run mkinitrd I get that error again. If I reboot the kernel stops working and says it can't find the drives (this is for RAID 1 that I mentioned a few days back). What am I missing? Can anyone point me into the right direction? Am I missing a step? After you compile a kernel what do you have to do to ensure your custom modules work? Thanks in advace. /paul -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHHQr1hBqssqFt8EoRAufeAKCPRUCIrVgazwf0J8EJjlgLPKD3xQCg7gUi qghZm/yU5JEc8y9aWz6CgE0= =fxia -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe from this list: send an email with "unsubscribe kernelnewbies" to ecartis@xxxxxxxxxxxx Please read the FAQ at http://kernelnewbies.org/FAQ
