[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello All,

I have written small application code in "C" language and it has been compiled using "gcc" on RedHat 3.0 kernel 2.4.21 and Is it possible for me to run RedHat 3.0 compiled binary on RedHat 4.0 kernel 2.6.8?

1. How do i find "ABI" compatiblity between two kernel versions?

2. How to find "Back Ward Compatiblity" between two kernel versions of same
    distribution?

Please let me know your answers, Thank you in advance.

Thanks & Regards
Dayalan
