Hi,
I have installed Red Hat Linux AS 4, in VMWare 6.0 and when I executed the ifconfig I found that MAC address on eth0 interface was different from the actual MAC address which is present on the parent OS i.e. Windows XP.
I have just a single Ethernet interface and VMWare does create it's own virtual interfaces too i.e. vmnet1 etc.
So I am certain that the MAC address here is a virtual MAC address. Am I right , if I want to rectify this where can I go and check
