hi all,

Im trying to port ppc750/mv64430 on linux. When i try to ping (any
address), it always goes to the loop back diver. My eth0 is detected, but
not able to bring it up.

 Please help me...

Well, you make it awfully hard for people to help you since you don't
provide very many details.

You say eth0 is detected, fine, but did the driver have anything to
say when you loaded it? checking 'dmesg' would be a start.

Any interresting messages from the kernel after a test ping?

What have you done to try and correct the problem? What did you find
out in the process?

What kernel version?

What userspace? Output from scripts/ver_linux would be a start...

Some more details on the hardware involved would probably help - a few
things come to mind; lspci, /proc/cpuinfo, /proc/interrupts - etc...

I would suggest you read this document:
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
then ask again once you've read it.

Also, the REPORTING-BUGS document in the kernel source should helpgive
you an idea about what sort of info is usually required in order to
help solve a problem...
