Removing the evidence of a past spamrun from just one
mailing list archive won't do any good.  Once you spam
a mailing list, chances are dozens of archives, search
engines and web archival sites will keep the evidence
for decades.

If you want to start with a clean slate, a name change
might be easier.  Alternatively, make it clear to people
that you've learned your lesson and will not spam again.
Some of the largest spammers have reformed and cleaned
up their image.  So can you.
