HI, all

whis is the 'gso' stand for ? Does it have some relationship with the 'tso'
?

gso == generic-segment-offloading

unlike tso (which works for tcp) gso is generic mechanism for
segmenting super frames and works across different protocol and (more
importantly, imho) doesn't require h/w support. iirc, this is done
just before entry into driver's xmit call.

please feel free to correct me if i am wrong.

kind regards
