Yes ...but having smaller ZONE_NORMAL is preferred over less user
address space.

We have already less user address space because of the kernel mapping in
the upper 1GB....you wont be able to run large processes if u reduce it
further....

offcource if you know that your system is not going to  have processes
larger than 2GB and you have more than 896MB of physical  memory, you
can configure it to be 2/2GB.
