Max size of buffer cache

Hi,
Can we configure the size of buffer cache in Linux?
HP-UX provides configurable parameters(bufpages,dbc_max_pct) for this.
If this is not configurable in Linux, can the system allocate whole of available memory as buffer cache (if available and required)?
