I used the hugetlb pages 4Mb using mmap( ) successfully !
Now,I read that we can use 4Mb pages by setting PSE flag in control register of cpu ! Now in Bovet i read that linux kernel doesnot make use of PSE ,so how did the linux kernel 2.6.15 allowed me to use hugetlb pages of 4Mb size? how can we check the status whether the flag PAE or PSE is set while an application is using the hugetlb page of 4Mb?
