touchscreen driver: what to do to connect them to a device?

Hi,

I've got now another missing link.

I modified drivers/input/touchscreen/touchright.c for my Sahara Touch-iT. The
source has an init function which gets called when I modprobe it. Then it has
a xxx_connect function which should register the input device. The comment
says that it is called when the serio device is added.

But I do not understand how to actually perform the act of adding.

Googling around I stumbled upon a serio_raw device and the instruction to add
it using

	echo -n "serio_raw" > /sys/bus/serio/devices/serio1/drvctl

but trying this with sahara_ts instead of serio_raw does not seem to work. The
printk I inserted at the beginning of the connect function does not get
executed.
