eh? that's not the case actually. Or rather, it's no different than
2.4, in fact better than 2.4. In 2.6 you only need a part of the source
code, while in 2.4 in practice you ended up needing all of it to build
reliable. I wonder if you have a bug in your makefile that exposes
something like this.. (but you haven't provided an URL to it so it's
hard to say)

well worth googling for ...
