    and other operating systems provide this functionality through that

but, how can the interface depend upon the cable? don't you think that
we can create one in software itself. why do we need to depend upon
the hardware to do it? my doubt arouse from the fact that usb
cable/port has only four wires to carry power and data. how can this
cable be modified? will u please refer me to some online documents
about this stuff.
