Hi Muneeswaran,

I don't think we can have micro second resolution in linux kernel. If
you need micro second resolution you may need to apply the patch. I
think this link may provide you more info on this.

Subject: Microsecond resolution for kernel Timer - Help

Hi,

I have to create a kernel timer with microsecond resolution . (Kernel
version 2.6)

Right now, HZ value in kernel 2.6 is 1000. "add_timer() call" will give
1ms
resoultion.

Is there any facility to create 1us resolution ?

Regards,
Munees.
