I am getting this kernel panic msg while booting the rebuilt kernel 2.6.16.13 .. .. .. mount : error 6 mounting ext 3 ERROR opening /dev/console!!!! : 2 error dup2'ing fd of 0 to 0 switchroot : mount failed:22 I have earlier successfully compiled the Kernel source ( msg for successful compilation is printed) However for modules_install command no msg (either of success or failure is given). Simply prompt appears.
