Since this sounds rather like a bug report, you should better ask on
linux-kernel mailing list (linux-kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx).

Do you have the kernel compiled with 'magic sysrq' option (in kernel
debugging)? The SysRQ-p (ie. Alt-PrintScreen-p on x86 - see
Documentation/sysrq.txt in kernel sources) and SysRQ-t should give you some
info about state of the kernel that could give kernel developers some hint
(ie. try it, write it down and post to linux-kernel - you should also post
exact version of the kernel, list of devices in the computer (from lspci) and
other things described in REPORTING-BUGS in kernel sources)
