Hey I was able to compile to the code with 1 < 0 as the cache of L1_CACHE_BYTES , Then it should be possbile make the cache as negligible... Bt at the run time how do we test abt the cache usage,, is there any tool to do so.... -Vamsi -----Original Message----- From: kernelnewbies-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:kernelnewbies-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Manav Kataria Sent: Thursday, March 09, 2006 11:10 AM To: Yang Huang Cc: kernelnewbies@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: How to disable the CPU cache? I do not have my own Linux box to test it here. I'll have to look into the theory to confirm, but what effect would
#define L1_CACHE_BYTES 0
have on the Caches ??
