Hm, there does not seem to actually be an entry for your function in the
trace. Which might mean you are screwing something else (registration?)

Anyway, I wanted to suggest another thing. Since this is
architecture-independent code, it will work on user-mode architecture as
well. So get a user-mode-linux (http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net).
It has the advantage that you can attach gdb to it and look what is
going on.
