Hi,

Maybe this is a trivial question, but I was wondering what happens if a
NULL-pointer is dereferenced in kernel mode (e.g. in a module).
you will get Oops message
Is the behavior architecture specific?
rather its dependent on condition in your program whether to just
display oops and let kernel do its normal workings or crash kernel at
same state.
Any hints would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Hendrik
