Tracing: memory arrangement

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hey,

i want to expand KProbes/JProbes in the Linux-Kernel for my semester exams.
My Project is, to dynamically register this probes(load and unload) in
function-call-level ('function call tracing'). Furthermore it should be
useable even in user space.

Can someone give me a clue(in form of an article or a link), how executables
are arranged/ordered in memory.

And how do i get the memory address of the entry point of a loaded executable.

Thanks in advice
Patrick.
