Please refer to Understanding Linux Kernel.
Read the chapter on  Virtual File System.
Its explained in a very amazing fashion there ->

basically mount command would call sys_mount() which is defined at http://lxr.linux.no/source/fs/namespace.c?v=2.6.10#L1148(i.e at line 1148 in this file.)
