You can use schedule_timeout like this
current->state = TASK_UNINTERRUPTIBLE;
schedule_timeout(X*HZ); /* Sleep for X seconds */
current->state = TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE;
schedule_timeout(X*HZ); /* Sleep for X seconds */
current->state = TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE;
