Linux 2.6 Modules

I am porting my kernel modules from 2.4.20 to 2.6.11.

I have two question.

1. When I compile module b, which uses symbols from module a (both are my modules), it says

*** Warning: "abc_cache" [/kernel/modb/modb.ko] undefined!

where "abc_cache" is comming from module a and module b can see its
prototype. How can I get rid of this warning. [both modules loads fine]

2. I get following message

modb: no version for "search_id32" found

What this means. This comes after symbol is found, and dependent module is loaded.
