Hi,
Im using Fedora core 3 with 2.6.9 kernel.
I installed the 2.4 kernel rpm from the RedHat Linux 9.0 CD.
The command I used is
rpm -ivh --force kernel-2.4.20-18-i386.rpm
Now in the boot loader (GRUB) the 2.4 kernel entry is made automatically
after I installed the rpm.
But while booting in that kernel , Im getting an error like
"error 19 mounting sysfs
umount sysfs faild"
And the booting process stop in "starting system logger"
After that the system is hung.
Any idea how to proceed ?
