Hi all, I have two questions concerning threads in linux' kernel: 1) A kernel thread is actually a process (task), isn't it? Then what's the difference between a kernel thread and a normal task? 2) In the structure task_struct, which represents a task, there is a member "struct thread_struct". Does it have anything with threads as light weigth processes (LWPs) to do? regards, Paul -- GMX DSL = Maximale Leistung zum minimalen Preis! 2000 MB nur 2,99, Flatrate ab 4,99 Euro/Monat: http://www.gmx.net/de/go/dsl -- Kernelnewbies: Help each other learn about the Linux kernel.
