Hi, I trying to find out the prefered GCC version for the kernel today. The README refers to 2.95.3 as does the Documentation/Changes file. However, I am not aware of any modern distro shipping that version of GCC. Has this changed? 2.95.3 is over 4 years old and with GCC 4.0.1 out and distros like Fedora using that and many others following suite. What are people using?
