__init vs __devinit for non? hotplug device

im hacking at scx200, which is a module associated with
a GEODE cpu, either an SC-1200, or an SC-1100,
as used in soekris net4801. (there are others too)

since this module is tightly bound to a high-integration cpu,
(has on-chip PCI devices, which are 'probed'),
it seems that there is no point to keeping some code
around past __init time, even under hotplug.

Or do I miss something ?
