read the section "The Usage Count" in chapter 2 of LDD, link to the
2nd chapter is as follows:

this explains the things very well and also talks about having IOCTL
command, which I also mentioned in my last mail, to bring down the
count deliberately to zero during development cycle, but dont do this
when you are sure some process is using your module code, as is in
your case.
