Question about VFS file creation

Hi,

I want to implememt a simple filesystem based on the mechanisms of VFS. The idea is that I want to access a specific partition of a flash memory in a mounted directory. For that I am trying to read the existing files in flash (during initialization) and create the appropriate inode and dentry objects. However the initialization does not work properly and I can not read the created files using ls command.

Given the superblock, how should I initialize an inode object and a dentry object so that the new file exists and is accessible in VFS?
My implementation is based on the ram fs.

Thanks

Mike
