Re: IOCTL in Block-Device

Hello,

I send this first last night (in GMT +01), but it seems, that I send it only to myself... Sometimes I am not one of the smartest... :-)

After reading block_dev.c and ioctl.c of my 2.6.8 Kernel I think that if I define an own ioctl in a block_device_operation this will only be used if the blkdev_ioctl of ioctl.c does not know the cmd. Is this right? If so, how can I make the kernel first to call my ioctl for every call of ioctl of a block_device?
