My question is if it is so that the functions and procedures which are defined and exported in input.c can be overridden in other modules (other than input.c). I mean inheritance? Can somebody answer this specific question? The debian-kernel mailing list is NOT for this kind of question. It is for discussion of the packaging of the Debian kernel. What needs to be changed in the description of the list so that people realise this? Kernel packages in Debian Discussion about kernels used with Debian (Linux, Hurd, etc.), available patches and flavors, packaging issues, bug reports, porting issues, automated tools, and any other questions or patches that are kernel-related. Is it that last piece that confuses you? Perhaps it'd be better-worded as "any other questions of patches that relate to Debian's kernels and their packaging"? -- "Next the statesmen will invent cheap lies, putting the blame upon the nation that is attacked, and every man will be glad of those conscience-soothing falsities, and will diligently study them, and refuse to examine any refutations of them; and thus he will by and by convince himself that the war is just, and will thank God for the better sleep he enjoys after this process of grotesque self-deception." -- Mark Twain -- Kernelnewbies: Help each other learn about the Linux kernel.
