invoke burst read/write with xscale

Dear,

I'm working with a development platform that has a xscale 255 and a spartan 2e fpga. Now for testing purposes only, the FPGA contains a register. I can read and write to it, with only one 32 bit access at a time. I configured the PXA registers so that the memory controller thinks that the FPGA is a SRAM.

I don't find anything on how i can read and write to it in burst mode. (burst of 4, burst of 8) How can i invoke such transfers ?
