While compiling driver getting a "modpost" error

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

When I try to compile a driver on Linux 2.6.5 (RedHat
Fedore Core 2) , I get the following error:

/bin/sh: line 1: /usr/src/linux/scripts/mod/modpost:
No such file or directory

Can someone tell me what is this modpost? How can I
enable it in the kernel, or disable it in my driver,
so my driver will compile? Do I need to install any
tools? Any links to webpage would be great.

Thanks,
Ahmed.
