Hi, Shall i say the implementation of readdir is almost same as taht of generic_read_file of VFS except the format of dirent or directory entries are different specific to internal of fs, if so then why VFS also not provides any generic_readdir, I dont know if its already there but i suspect as all filesystems specially NFS done there own implementaion of readdir,I would like to say thar the responsibilty what readpage do have for fs developers the same has to be there for readdir, I'm just commenting this b'coz i faced the lot of problems in implementing readdir as compared to be supposed to be important call readpage which is very easy b'coz of generic_file_read of VFS.
