Q: LVM over loop device/software RAID over loop device

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all!

I'm trying to experiment with LVM/RAID stuff over "emulated" disks with
the help of loop device driver. Almost things going right except (?)
filesystem usage over my configurations.
When I mount my raid sets or logical volumes and copy files into them,
then unmount, stop raids/deactivate volume groups, and disassociate loop
back devices and THEN revert all back, my copied files mysterious
disappear. Whats wrong?

The question is: when buffer cache is syncronized into loopback files
under that configuration?

Thanks in advance,
Dimitry.
