Understanding remaining BKLs

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello.

I am trying to get a better understanding of the remaining BKLs in the
Kernel. Let me be specific:

A noticed that a lot of it happens in lseeks and related operations
that change the status of one of the attributes of struct file. Given
that struct file has clearly "data to be protected", is there any
reason to not insert a granular lock in this struct ?

Thanks for help.
