I know I can do that, the problem is how do I do make *skb points to the buffers already existed in the system. The way you put the code, the pointer has a NULL value.


I was just trying to give you an example. I KNOW, *skb was null the way I showed!
Look at (for example) drivers/net/pppoe.c
function -- pppoe_rcv (skb is being used there)
The packet handler calls the receive functions.
