I know about kexec and about lobos. I could rarely find documentation on how to implement all these.Could please send me a note on implementation on kexec?

Let me tell you the primary goal for me, I need a Secondary Boot Loader for my x86 board, Which even helps a layman to update the entire image in the box. As a temporary solution ,I thought to have a minimal linux to act as a bootloader for my linux. So I used kernel monte. Anything better than kmonte or SBL for this type of need?

It's in the OSDL-patched kernels, and it works for me. I use it to reduce reboot time when doing kernel hacking. Maybe it could be useful to you.
