Hi,
         Execuse me if this is not the proper area to post my Q.

         I am getting confused with Linux TCP/IP and Sockets  I have picutres in my mind like

a) Application->TCP->IP->Ethernet
b) Application->socket->tcp->IP->ethernet
c)Application->socket->BSD Stack or (Some other Stack)-> Ethernet.

             which are correct and which are not and are there any additions . Please can anyone give me a picture how socket flow is in linux.

            One more question I have is what is the interface between TCP and IP in Linux TCP/IP stack how they communicate. Code pointers will be helpfull.

Thanks
rakesh
