SysRq: b

Anyone know what might cause SysRq-b to not work? I get
the "SysRq : Resetting" message, but nothing ever happens
after that. No other sysrq's produce any output after that
either. I have to hit the reset button on the system. And I have
waited a really long time. Kind of a pain when you are nowhere
near the computer.

This happens after the system seems to mostly lockup (that
due to a bug in my kernel code). A timer function is still
going as I can see the printk's on the console, but user-space
isn't responsive.
