Select the "Preemptible Kernel" option under Processor type and features while configuring. Regards, Hari "learner linux" <linux_learner@hotmail To: kernelnewbies@nl.linux.org .com> cc: Sent by: Subject: preemption optional? kernelnewbies-bounce@n l.linux.org 04/15/2003 09:15 AM Hi, I have downloaded the Kernel 2.5.66 and successfully compiled it. I understand that in this development kernel Robert Love's preemption patch exists by default. Do, we need to build the kernel with some special build options to have the preemption feature? Or is it enabled by default? In addition, do we also have the option of building a non-preemtible kernel (like the old 2.4) with some build options? ~Learner _________________________________________________________________ War on Iraq.
