Hi, How can I run depmod for cross-compiling ? I already discovered "-b" and "-F" flag, but that's not enough. I still get an error message: depmod: Can't open /other/lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom/modules.dep for writing 2.4.18-3custom is the kernel I am running, not the one I am compiling. Is there another method of checking symbols before I actually boot the kernel and insert the modules ? TIA -- Kernelnewbies: Help each other learn about the Linux kernel.
