packet life

When receiving a packet, after the NET_RX_SOFTIRQ posted the skb to softnet_data, what happened? In case of IPv4, I think the skb should travel all the way up to a struct sock, then waiting there for a syscall, right?

But I can't track the path down. I can't make the path in the syscall context connected to the interrupt context. Someone please help me understand this! Thank you very much!

Yours,
zw
