kgdb & Redhat 8.0

I am trying to setup RH 8.0 kernel (2.4.18-14) for serial debugging. Applied 2.4.18 kgdb patch, five failed hunks were done by hand.

After enabling serial debugging & make dep, when make bzImage, I get an error compiling gdbstart.c

This is a userlevel program, and it fails badly (ofcouse) with kernel header files. If I compile this by hand I get some other error latter.

Question, am I missing something fundamental with procedure ?
