hdparm fails with 2.5.xx

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

  Hi, happy sunday to all.

I has noted that with the kernels 2.5.46 and 2.5.49, the program hdparm
have this output:

HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted

But with my "emergency" kernel in the same system, 2.4.16, hdparm works fine
turning DMA beetween 0 (off) and 1 (on).

Where can be the diference?. It is a bug in the development kernels serie?, or
maybe a wrong configuration file?.

  Waiting your answers.

  TIA.

  Jose.
