[SysRq] Odd...

Hi,
I'm unable to use system request keys on my PC. When I hit
Alt-SysRq-<everything but 'j'> nothing happens. If I hit Alt-SysRq-j I
get the help message and from this point I'm unable to return to the
console: if I hit a valid command key (even without pressing Alt-SysRq)
the command is executed, with all other keys I get the help message. I'm
unable to switch to another virtual console and tapping shift, alt, ctrl
on both sides of the keyboard, and hitting an invalid sysrq combo (as
suggested in Documentation/sysrq.txt) doesn't fix the problem. If I hit
SysRq-Alt I get the help messages (but I can't type any command key).

I'm using a PS/2 keyboard (italian layout), 2.4.19-rc3 + XFS patch.

showkeys -s shows this:
0xe0 0x2a 0xe0 0x37 /* SysRq pressed */
0xe0 0xb7 0xe0 0xaa /* SysRq depressed */
0x38 0x54 /* Alt-SysRq pressed */
0xd4 0xb8 /* Alt-SysRq depressed */

Can anyone help me?

bye,
Luca
