Let's say for a moment we have statistics enough in the kernel to know how many times a page is being locked (mlock(2) 'reference' counts). What's the statistical distribution of the counts? How many times on average are pages mlock()'ed? How many times maximum? Numbers? Benchmarks? Test cases? Have fun, Chris -- I haven't lost my mind. It's backed up on tape somewhere.
