a simple question

I am a relatively new Linux Hacker (< 6 months). I and a colleague have
created a Compact PCI embedded system for which we developed some specific
HW. In my device driver, it is possible that the HW will trigger an
interrupt for a special case. In this case I want to halt the Linux OS. How
can I do this from within my ISR?
