compiling without ISA support?

Hey there,

I was wondering why there is no option in make menuconfig to compile the
kernel without ISA support? But I also noticed that you can edit the
.config file manually and remove ISA support. Is it safe to compile
without ISA support? And how much space will I save kernel wise?

Thanks
