Preserving Memory Across Reboot

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

All,

Two weeks ago I made this query and I got lot of suggestions and hints. I would like to thanks
everybody who wrote. Please keep the spirit of helping other people with Linux kernel up.

I was able to preserve memory across reboot, by allocating memory early in the boot sequence and
making a small change in the allocating routine. It took me long to reply because I was in middle
of relocating.

If somebody needs detail explanation of exactly what I did, I can explain.

Usman
