I don't know whether soundcore.o is part of the OSS drivers or not, but the Redhat sndconfig breaks very frequently on custom compiled kernels on RH 7.x on an I810 that I have used. Sometimes the issue is soundcore not found, and sometimes it doesn't even find out anyway. My guess had been that it's internal database of sound configs is pretty limited. RH7.1+ works out of the box on an I810 though. I wonder whether they have put in some I810 specific sound stuff on the kernel. - Sandip -- Sandip Bhattacharya Mindframe Software Work: sandip @ mindsw.com, http://www.mindsw.com Play: sandipb @ bigfoot.com, http://www.sandipb.net ----------------------------------------------- -- Kernelnewbies: Help each other learn about the Linux kernel.
